El País Confirmed its Participation on a Campaign Against Mujica

After FA presidential canditate Mujica has stated that “some right wing media” were working against his candidacy, El País published an article confirming such statement. “Yes, it is true that El País is on a campaign against Mujica presidential candidacy, but one does not have to be brilliant to reach this conclusion.

All one has to do is read this page to know our reasons – which are not whimsical – which are the same reasons of half of the Uruguayan population. It is obvious that you don’t like it, but this is how we think”, says the article. El País doubts Mujica’s democratic believes, questions “his political friends in the region” and the “unsteadiness that his convictions convey”.
